Giving to St Barnabas Church

Churches cost a surprising amount to run!

Our biggest cost is our gift to the wider Church of England, which pays for our clergy: their salaries, their housing & their training.

We then need to pay for heating, lighting and building costs so that we can run our Sunday and our weekly activities.

It costs about £3000 / month to run St Barnabas as we currently do.

As Christians, we believe that all we have and all we are is given as a gift from God. Each of us are blessed in a variety of ways, and we, in turn, are called to bless others.

Giving to St Barnabas resources our worship, our life together and our outreach to the community. In joining with us in giving, you say that you want to contribute to the on-going life of St Barnabas.

We can give of our time and talents, but giving our money is also important.

Planned, regular giving is the most effective way to give to the life and work of our church, especially through ways which reduce administration for our parish. This helps us fund our mission and to budget our resources wisely.

Parish Giving Scheme

The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is a mechanism for planned giving, which we encourage you to use. Once you have decided on your gift amount, simply visit www.parishgiving.org.uk or phone 0333 002 1271 to join the Scheme, and quote our parish code 430643205, or scan the QR code alongside.
