On Sunday 9th June we welcomed Claire from Compassion who spoke to us about the work that the charity does and how we could sponsor a child through them to help release them from poverty.
Claire had chosen 10 children who live in Nyundo, Rwanda who were looking for sponsors. She was overwhelmed with the response from those in the service with over 70% of those attending becoming sponsors (a usual response is around 10%). I’m delighted to say that 7 of the 10 children have now got sponsors, but 3 are still waiting.
